Memory Memorials and Monuments.

Rev. Dr. Geoffrey Black

Memory Memorials and Monuments. We’ll begin with the Tuskegee Airmen, then expand to learn about the significance of remembering them as an example of African American presence throughout history, including an overview of African Americans in the military in general. Next, the scope will be broadened to highlight the importance of memory work and AA History that is achieved by way of monuments and memorials. Each phase of the presentation will include visuals from my family’s website, The Monumental African American.
