Board of Deacons

The elected office of Deacon is set forth in Scripture (Acts 6:1-6) as one of sympathy, witness, and service after the example of Jesus Christ. It is the duty of Deacons to minister to the sick, the friendless, and to any who may be in distress. The Board of Deacons coordinate various programs and events throughout the year. These include Sunday, Easter and Christmas Flower Delivery; Sunday Receptions; Memorial Service Receptions; Greeting Card Ministry; Ash Wednesday Dinner; Calls and Gifts to Homebound; Communion Preparation; Giving Tree Celebration; Easter Breakfast; All Church Picnic. The Deacons support the activities of other church ministries, including Thanksgiving Dinner and Soul Food Brunch. Please contact deacons@covenantweb.org for more information.
