Board of Deacons
The elected office of Deacon is set forth in Scripture (Acts 6:1–6) as one of sympathy, witness, and service, following the example of Jesus Christ. Deacons serve a three-year term and meet monthly. The Board of Deacons coordinates programs and events throughout the year that provide care, fellowship, hospitality, and support to our congregation and community. Congregational Care
The Deacons provide ministry and support to members of our congregation through:
Sunday, Easter, and Christmas flower delivery
Calls and gifts to homebound members, including Extended Communion service
Greeting Card Ministry
Hospitality & Fellowship
The Deacons provide hospitality and opportunities for fellowship through:
Sunday receptions following worship
Memorial service receptions
All Church Picnic
Ash Wednesday dinner
Easter breakfast
Thanksgiving luncheon
Outreach
The Deacons reach out to community neighbors who may need encouragement, connection, or support through:
